Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare Volunteer Services
Volunteers are an essential part of the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital mission "to enhance the health of the communities and the customers we serve."
In order to make the experience as rewarding as possible, our Volunteer Services staff works closely with each volunteer to match their skills and interests with a position. Volunteer opportunities are available in dozens of areas on the Main Campus as well as in our outpatient locations and resale shops.
Volunteer hours and days are flexible, although a minimum of 50 hours of work is required every six months.
Teen Volunteers
Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare's Teen Volunteer program offers energetic and caring teenagers the opportunity to perform a variety of rewarding tasks throughout the health system. From clerical and indirect patient care opportunities, to working on nursing unites and Immediate Care Centers, to assisting with special projects and community events, the program is an ideal way to develop teamwork and leadership skills and learn more about a career in the medical field.
Teens interested in joining the program must be 14 years of age or older and at least a freshman in high school. Teens must commit at least 25 hours of volunteering within a three month period and complete an orientation session.
Our Teen Volunteer program is no longer aaccepting applications for the summer. Check back in September to learn more about how can volunteer this fall.
