ELMHURST - Join the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Foundation at the second annual Autumn Affair on Friday, September 8, 2006, at 7 p.m., at Medinah Country Club in Medinah, IL. This elegant evening will include cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, dinner and dancing to the Rob Parton Orchestra as well as raffles and auctions. The auction will feature many unique items and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities including a chance to have "Breakfast at Tiffany's" with your friends, be introduced on the field at a Chicago Cubs game, stay at a luxury resort for week in Sanibel Island and much, much more.
All proceeds from the event and auction will benefit a new Behavioral Health Bridge Program at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. "This is an important program that will provide a safety net for indigent DuPage County patients with mental illness," explains Dr. James Ebert, an emergency medicine physician at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital and co-chair of the Autumn Affair. "Patients who are discharged from our care often have a 6 - 8 week wait period before the government approves their follow-up care, in many cases causing them to relapse. This fund will provide resources for them during that waiting period, lessening their chance of relapse."
Tickets to the 2006 Autumn Affair are $150 each; tables of twelve are available. "It is the perfect opportunity to support the Hospital and at the same time enjoy a fun-filled evening at Medinah Country Club with your friends, family and colleagues," said Dr. Andrew Rauh, a cardiologist on staff at EMH and Chairman of the Autumn Affair.
Cocktail attire is required at the event. For more information about the event or sponsorship opportunities or to purchase tickets, please call the Foundation 630-782-7829.
The non-profit Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Foundation is the gift receiving and fund-raising arm of the Hospital and is the vehicle for those wishing to support Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare. For more information about the Foundation, please visit www.emhc.org.
