Foundation Events
Special events have historically been a good way for people in the community to show their financial support for Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare while spending quality time with friends and associates.
These projects and events sponsored by the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Foundation have helped in the purchase of new technology and programs, including the state-of-the-art 64-slice CT scanner and the Learning Center for Diabetes. The Foundation has also partially funded larger projects, such as the Elmhurst Memorial Lombard Health Center.
10th Annual Elmhurst Memorial Golf Classic
The 10th Annual Elmhurst Memorial Golf Classic will take place on Monday, June 2, 2008 at River Forest Country Club in Elmhurst.
The proceeds from this year's Golf Classic will benefit the new Care Partner Program associated with the Planetree initiative at Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare. This program will provide education and training to assist family members in participating in the care of their loved one while hospitalized and at home after discharge.
A key part of this is the creation of a customized binder to be provided to each inpatient with their personalized medical information. This binder is a critical piece in implementing the Care Partner program, which is an essential component to becoming a Planetree affiliated hospital. Patients will leave the hospital with an organized binder of their information to refer to when they are home, at their physician visits, or if they return to the hospital.

Autumn Affair
The Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Foundation's 4th Annual Autumn Affair
will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Union League Club in Chicago.
This elegant evening will once again benefit the Behavioral Health Bridge Program at Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare and will include dinner, dancing and a live and silent auction.
