Online assessments for anxiety, depression offered by Elmhurst Memorial
Elmhurst Memorial Hospital (EMH) has added AnxietyAware and DepressionAware to its menu of online assessments to help people determine if they’re at risk for two of the most common mental illnesses in the U.S.
AnxietyAware and DepressionAware, at www.emhc.org/services/healthaware, are free, five-minute online screenings to help identify a person’s potential risk of having an anxiety disorder or depression.
If a person’s assessment indicates a heightened risk of anxiety disorder or depression, he or she will receive a call within 24 hours to schedule a free, in-person assessment with a mental health professional at EMH. If contact information is not submitted, a 24/7 hotline number is provided during the screening so the participant can call to request the free assessment. All results are confidential. Participants will also receive a report that can be shared with their healthcare provider.
EMH offers a variety of outpatient behavioral health services, including adult partial hospitalization and psychiatric intensive outpatient services, as well as adult and adolescent substance abuse programs, traditional outpatient therapy and medication management. The programs include individual, group and family therapy. For more information or a free mental health assessment, call Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare Guidance Services at (331) 221-4400.
