Planning for the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Main Campus provided us with a clean slate to create a unique healthcare experience. It allowed us to rethink every step of the patient experience by asking how can we do this better? We knew that if we focused on the patient, everything else would follow — including the most technologically advanced care.
The result is an inviting campus that puts our patients and visitors front and center. The Elmhurst Memorial Center for Health/William and Carol Parrillo Building, with its outpatient services and physician offices, anchors the east side of the campus. The new acute care Hospital occupies the west side. A medical office building now borders the west side of the Hospital with a second building planned for the east side in the future. Corridors enable you to move easily between all of the buildings for office visits, diagnostic tests and inpatient care, bringing comprehensive medical services together in one convenient, easily accessible location.
