A short video clip from the April 16 Topping Off ceremeony for the new Elmhurst Memorial Hospital is now available on our Web site.
On the morning of April 16, the new Elmhurst Memorial Hospital building was "topped off" when the final steel beam was placed atop the structure.
Landscaping throughout the new campus will include a variety of gardens that vary in size and purpose from small, intimate areas to large walking paths.
This spring, the first signs of the extensive landscaping around the new campus will be planted, marking the beginning of plans to create a "building in a garden."

As work to create the structure for the new Elmhurst Memorial Hospital
continues, members of the project team are busy finalizing details of
the interior portions of the building, including real examples of patient care areas.
While the rise of steel is the most visible sign of progress on the construction site, a number of other activities are occurring to keep the project on schedule.
With steel work now about 40 percent complete, some areas of the new Hospital are becoming clearly recognizable. In spring, we will be turning our attention to commemorating another milestone in this historic project with a topping off ceremony.
