Inpatient & Outpatient Treatment Services
At Elmhurst Memorial Behavioral Health Services, we provide a caring and compassionate environment for our patients in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. We include family, primary care physicians, schools and any other supportive entity that is an important part of our patients’ recovery, while respecting their needs for confidentiality.
Inpatient Services
Our inpatient program provides a safe and secure environment for individuals who have been diagnosed with thought process disorders or other psychiatric disorders that disrupt everyday functioning. Patients who require protected surroundings receive multi-disciplinary treatment in Elmhurst Memorial Hospital’s inpatient psychiatric unit. Some services available include:
- Detoxification in a medical setting
- Dual diagnoses treatment and stabilization of acute psychiatric disorders
- Crisis stabilization for patients who require emergency interventions
Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Programs
As an alternative to inpatient care, or for the transition from inpatient care to home, partial hospital and intensive outpatient treatment programs are offered to teens and adults who need psychiatric treatment and/or chemical dependency treatment but do not require 24-hour care.
Outpatient Services
We also offer outpatient counseling services for families and individuals that address a variety of issues, including communication or relationship difficulties, adjustment to transition and loss, substance abuse and other issues that may impact academic or job performance.
