Breast Nurse Navigator

What is a breast nurse navigator?
When a physician recommends that you undergo a breast biopsy, you may have a number of questions about the procedure or feel anxious. You may also wonder how to navigate the healthcare system, which can be challenging. We want you to experience timely, coordinated and supportive care — and that’s why we established the role of nurse navigator.

Our breast nurse navigator is Kelly Stein, R.N., B.S., O.C.N., CBPN-IC, and she’s here to help you:

  • Schedule appointments and procedures in a timely manner and communicate with your healthcare providers
  • Handle financial issues, such as insurance, transportation and employment
  • Feel supported if you’re anxious or afraid
  • Become educated about tests, procedures, a diagnosis and treatment

Kelly Stein,
R.N., B.S., O.C.N., CBPN-IC Nurse Navigator

Kelly works with patients from their first biopsy long into survivorship, always making sure that their needs are met, whatever they may be.

To contact Kelly, call

“Without Kelly [the nurse navigator], I would have been even more anxious and nervous than I was. When something hits you like this, you don’t know where to turn. If I got nervous, I called Kelly.”
