Screening Mammogram

Screening mammograms are also known as routine mammograms for women without symptoms of breast health issues. Having screening mammograms improves the early detection of cancer. If the radiologist determines that there are abnormalities or changes from year to year, the physician may request additional views. The American Cancer Society recommends that women over 40 have a yearly mammogram.
