Inpatient Telemetry Unit
The primary focus of this unit is providing multidisciplinary care for stable patients with cardiovascular disease or stroke requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.
Cardiac Care Unit
This full service Medical Surgical Critical Care Unit is designed with state-of-the-art equipment and a highly educated nursing staff to care for patients who require frequent assessment and reassessment due to electrolyte imbalance, respiratory, neurologic, cardiac or hemodynamic compromise.
Progressive Care Unit
Physicians and staff work in a multidisciplinary environment that is designed to focus on stabilizing our cardiovascular patients and cardiothoracic patients immediately post-operative through to discharge.
Rehabilitation after a cardiac event is key to your recovery. Our program includes four phases of cardiac rehabilitation. Phases I through IV are provided at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. Our cardiac rehabilitation services include:
- Exercise classes
- Nutritional support/education
- Patient/family education and support groups
- Social service support
- Stress management
Elmhurst Memorial Hospital is Joint Commission-certified for Acute Myocardial Infarction, Congestive Heart Failure, Stroke (Primary Stroke Center) and Inpatient Diabetes.
