One of the most common questions that people ask is what to expect if/when they have an actual heart attack. The simple answer: There is hope, but time is of the essence.
Door-to-balloon time refers to the window of opportunity to receive life-saving medical care following a heart attack. While the standard of care is to treat heart attack patients within 90 minutes of arriving at a hospital, we average 56 minutes.
EMHC is committed to expediting and optimizing the time we treat patients during the critical door-to-balloon window. We look at innovations, processes and outcomes critically, and if there are areas for improvement, patients can count on us to improve them.
