Occupational Health:Employee Assistance Programs

Sometimes employees’ personal problems can harm job performance and affect fellow co-workers. During trying times, it’s heartening to know that we have licensed, experienced therapists who can help employees identify their problems and find constructive ways to cope with their situations. And it’s important to recognize the role that a successful Employee Assistance Program has in minimizing disability and healthcare claims, reducing absenteeism and increasing productivity.

All of our social workers and therapists are licensed master's level clinicians who are dedicated to providing respectful, confidential treatment. All services are provided under the supervision of a medical director. If they choose to participate, our Employee Assistance Program can help employees or their immediate family members with the following issues:

  • Substance abuse and other addictions
  • Social and emotional difficulties related to disability and illness
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Family issues
  • Death of a family member
  • Marital/relationship issues
  • Divorce
  • Becoming a single parent
  • Career change or job stress
  • Retirement
  • Remarriage

Our Employee Assistance Program specialists will work with you to:

  • Prepare policies and procedures tailored to your workplace
  • Instruct supervisors on how to use the program
  • Train managers in confronting performance problems
  • Provide assessments, referrals and short-term counseling for employees
  • Promote employee awareness and understanding of the Employee Assistance Program services
  • Provide mandated drug testing surveillance

In addition to our counseling services, we provide educational seminars on relevant issues, such as:
