Pastoral Care
If you or someone you care about is ever a patient at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, and find a need for solace and strength that can only be found through spiritual support, we encourage you to call upon our Pastoral Care. This service is non-denominational and works closely with you, the nursing staff and social services to determine the type of spiritual, religious and cultural support that would provide the most comfort for you and your family. This support is available to people of all ages, regardless of diagnosis.
Our Pastoral Care is here for you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition to meeting specific “everyday” needs, it’s available for crises, medical emergencies and other critical incidents that require this type of strength and guidance.
We also welcome clergy of all faiths to visit members of their congregation or parish. An ecumenical worship service is also offered each Sunday at 9 a.m. in the Hospital chapel, located just off the main lobby.
