New Technology
We offer the best technology available.
64-slice CT
Physicians on our medical staff now have access to two state-of-the-art 64-slice CT scanners that can capture precise images of any area of the body, including the rapidly moving heart, and be used to help predict heart disease in some patients. The high-speed, high-resolution X-rays are located at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital and Elmhurst Memorial Center for Health.
PACS
We transformed the process of reading an X-ray, MRI, CT or ultrasound by implementing a Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) that eliminates film and allows images to be instantaneously accessed from almost anywhere. Using this virtual tool, a group of physicians can simultaneously review a patient's information and discuss treatment options.
Digital mammography
We have now converted to completely digital mammography equipment, offering this advanced technology at three convenient sites - Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, the Elmhurst Memorial Center for Health and the Elmhurst Memorial Lombard Health Center.
Digital mammography ensures minimal exposure to radiation and produces superior breast images. An electronic image of the breast is taken and stored directly in a computer, allowing the recorded data to be enhanced, magnified or manipulated for further evaluation.
