Clinical Pastoral Education
Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare is accredited by the National Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for the training of hospital chaplains. For 2008-09, there are five CPE Level II positions available. The program, which offers opportunities for concentrations in five different areas throughout the health system, begins in September and runs through the end of August each year.

- a $22,000 stipend
- Low-cost tuition ($200 per quarter for CPE Level II)
- No cost health insurance (an estimated $8,900 savings for a family)
- 15 days of personal time plus national holidays off
