What to Expect Before a Surgery at EMH
When you’re being admitted to the hospital for surgery it can be a little unnerving. To help eliminate some of that anxiety, we’re providing information that will help you know what to expect once you arrive.
When surgeries are planned in advance, most patients come into the Hospital on the day of the surgery. Upon arrival, please enter the Hospital using the main entrance and take the main elevators to the second floor. The Surgery reception desk will be on your left as you exit the elevator. A staff member or volunteer will be there to greet you.
C-section patients will be prepared for surgery in the Family Birthing Center on the 3rd floor.
For more details, our Frequently Asked Questions can help answer any questions that you may have prior to your surgery.
