Telecare

If you or someone you love lives alone, Telecare can touch base with you daily to check on your safety and well being. Providing peace of mind for seniors and disabled persons who live alone and their families is an important part of our community outreach. We care about you, too, and would welcome the opportunity to provide you with this free service.

Here’s how it works: you call us each day between 8 a.m. and Noon. Our service is available either Monday through Friday or Monday through Saturday. Please note that our service is not available on Sundays or national holidays.

If you do not call and we cannot reach you, we’ll call the friends, neighbors or relatives you’ve designated as emergency contacts. If they don’t know where you are and are unable to reach you, Telecare will call your local police for assistance.

This free daily phone service is provided by Elmhurst Memorial Hospital's Volunteer Services Department.

If you’d like to enroll in Telecare, please click on the here and fill out the simple enrollment form.
